I’m taking part in this race to raise awareness for organ donation.

My family were faced with the decision of donating my lovings Dad’s organs. From this he was able to donate both kidneys and his heart valve tissue.

One kidney helped a gentleman who was on the waiting list for 6 months, and the other helped a gentleman who was on the waitlist for 27 years.

His heart valve tissue gave 2 people their sight back and saved a five day old baby boy and a nine month old baby girl.

We are so proud at the thought of him still helping others and we are so grateful that something good has come of something so devastating.
