For all the people out there still waiting, for my donor and their family. SPK received in 2018- very, very grateful!
I am the Team Captain for the South Central region. You can read more about my story below.
My name is Sally and I received a kidney pancreas transplant in November 2018, after 17 months on the waiting list. I am participating this year as I think it is so important that everyone agrees to be an organ donor, if they can. If you would be happy to receive, you need to be happy to donate.
A little about me:
I am mum to 2 children. My daughter is 8 and my son is 12 weeks! I am a qualified teacher and SENDCO and love making a difference to children’s lives. I did dialysis with a 3 year old and it wasn’t fun!! I live in a beautiful part of the country and have a daft Dalmatian, who keeps life interesting. I am very lucky to have a close family; when we get together it’s loud and crazy! As a family, we play a lot of sport so we are constantly on the go!
